Abstract

A structural subset task defines the intermediate candidate set, while input-uncertain top-group selection makes its boundary scenario dependent. Evaluation should retain membership across plausible inputs and account for the work created after retention. A larger set is beneficial only relative to consequential exclusion and the later checking cost. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
