Stopping a Multifidelity Design Comparison
Abstract
A stopping rule and multifidelity evidence interact because cheap runs can create precision without resolving high-fidelity discrepancy. Evaluation should preserve the terminal decision requirement and reserve expensive independent checks. Profile-level stopping from another application motivates the question but does not automatically protect a charging configuration under its own service mechanism. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
