Search Evidence for an Agent Entering a New Environment
Abstract
Knowledge-graph tree search and world-model exploration both acquire evidence through actions, but their mechanisms differ. Evaluation should retain the paths or transitions supporting each recommendation and count assessment costs. Static answer accuracy cannot establish a grounded transition model, and a plausible exploration trace cannot certify the factual support of a searched answer. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
